Welcome from the Headteacher

A warm welcome to Pickhurst Infant Academy! Pickhurst is a happy community where children love to learn. We are proud to be a centre of excellence in early years education and believe that these early days of a child's education create firm foundations for a life-long love of learning.  We are a truly inclusive school where each individual child is nurtured, valued and developed.

Our core values of Kindness, Resilience, Excellence, Creativity and Wellbeing are at the heart of of school community.  We want all children to thrive in a supportive environment and develop positive learning behaviours so that they are always ready for the next step in their educational journey.  Through an inspiring and exciting curriculum that includes outdoor learning and Forest School, our children learn how to problem solve, think creatively, work collaboratively and communicate effectively.

Our children are able to develop their interests and talents to become happy, confident lifelong learners so that by the age of 7, they are ready to move with confidence to the next phase in their education.
